    Be a mensch (a person of integrity) and volunteer with Jewish Family Services ! Assist in the Food Pantry, pick up food at the Wayside Food Program, organize food at the JFS Food Pantry, deliver Kosher Meals on Wheels one day a month, or hang fliers around town.

    On November 19, 2015, Colby College formally inaugurated the Dorothy "Bibby" Levine Alfond Assistant Professorship in Jewish Studies and launched the Center for Small Town Jewish Life, a joint initiative of Beth Israel Congregation, Colby College Hillel, and the Jewish Studies Program at Colby.
